Bataille de la brume faciale (Battle of the Facial Mist)

The very theatrical title comes from the fact that the topic of the day which is Facial Mist comes from the French world of cosmetics. Today I want to talk to you all about Facial Mist and how they have really balanced my skin and keeps me awake through out the day. Today I will be comparing the Avene Thermal Water, Caudalie Grape Water, and the Evian Mineral Water. Yes seems like an overload but these products are an essential in the hot and cold weather to neutralize my skin. My biggest tip is to get these facial mist in travel sizes in order to be able to take it with you everywhere. Now time for the review, I will be breaking each product into ingredient detail and give you my winner.

Caudalie Grape Water ($18) pH 5

The ingredients of the facial mist consist of the following: Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Water*, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Juice*, Nitrogen. *Plant origin.

In all the contains grape which Caudalie claims to provide hydration.

Evian Mineral Water ($18) pH 7.2

The ingredients of this facial mist consist of the following:

Pure, Natural evian® Mineral Water: Propelled by safe nitrogen (the air we breathe is 80 percent nitrogen) with a neutral

Also meant for hydration

Last but not least Avene Thermal Water ($14) pH 7.4

This product is meant for soothing of the skin.

Water (Aqua), Nitrogen. It also contains mineral salts within the water which are not really counted for.

Between the use of the Avene and Evian water, their pH level is a little over neutral heading towards the basic level ( more alkaline), which is a personal yellow flag for me. Understanding that our skin mantle is around the pH of 4.5-6.2. So placing something on your skin could cause over time wear of the skin especially routines like mine including a cleanser (more basic), and acid toner, and etc. Let’s not forget the tap water we use to wash our face which contains residues of calcium which throws off our skin pH. The product that sets its self apart is the Caudalie grape water due to the fact that it has a pH of around 5 which is a better match for me to balance off my skin.

Now we have gotten the science out of the way which had a better effect on my skin, the Evian was one of my first purchases and its effect was not long lasting, the Avene thermal water was not anymore more different. Unlike these two products the Caudalie did it for me a 1000% percent my skin felt moisturized and rejuvenated in the hot sun and plus it made me feel like I was sitting on the beach side of Caanes haha. But that’s pretty much it, I would definitely recommend the Caudalie grape water so go out to your nearest Blue Mercury or Sephora today!

Again see you later loves xxx
